A Geofence is a point or area on a map that can trigger events. For example, you might identify your home or office on the map to generate alerts for when your vehicle arrives/leaves the location. Users can now add up to four Geofences.
Adding a Geofence
To create a Geofence, sign in to the Raven Web App and follow the steps below:
- Open the Resources panel on the left side of the Dashboard. A new ‘Geofences’ tab has been added.
- Click on the ‘Add Geofence’ button. A colored circle will appear in the middle of the map. This circle is a Geofence.
- Position the Geofence by moving the map to the desired location, or type in the exact address in the search bar. To change the size of the Geofence, use the dragger on the Geofence.
- In the Geofence Details panel, set your preferences and click the ‘Save Location’ button.
Geofence Enter/Exit Events
Enter/Exit Events will appear on your Dashboard and in the History tab of the Raven Web App. Since Geofences can be changed or deleted, we keep track of which Geofences existed at the time of each Trip and display them within the Trip History view.
In the mobile app, Enter/Exit Events will appear in the events list of your Trip Cards, along with a map, date/time, and preview images of the event.
