What it is
Raven’s cabin-facing camera is AI-powered enabling the ability to perform Facial Recognition. This functionality provides the ability to identify the driver of the vehicle and whether there are any passengers.
How it works
Raven uses artificial intelligence to recognize faces and assign them to an identity. The more often the cabin camera sees a familiar face, the more accurate it becomes. Train the system by assigning names to drivers, merging faces that the system mistakes for another driver, and deleting or reassigning images that were incorrectly assigned.
How to use it
From the web app, select Settings from the left-hand menu. Scroll down to the Facial Recognition section, then toggle to enable.
Assigning Names to Faces
When Facial Recognition is enabled, Raven will begin collecting images of the driver while your vehicles are being driven. To create profiles for employees known as ‘Named Faces’:
- Click on the new face you want to name. A pop-up box will open with all of the associated faces for this identity.
- Type in the name of this person and click save.
- The driver's identity will now appear in Alerts, Reports, and Trip Review.
Merging Identities
In some instances, the system may create two profiles for the same individual. To merge the identities into a single profile:
- At the bottom of the Facial Recognition section in Settings, click Edit.
- Select the identities you want to merge and click Merge.
Unassign Faces
If the system has mistakenly attributed an image to a named face, you can unassign the image from the profile.
- Click to open the profile of the named face.
- Select the images that are incorrectly assigned to this face.
- Select ‘Unassign Selected’ then ‘OK’ to confirm the decision.
- The image(s) will return to the new faces section, where you can reassign them to another profile.
Deleting Faces From an Identity
If the system has inaccurately assigned a face to one of your profiles, and the image is not of one of your employees, you can delete the image from the profile.
- Click on the face you want to train. A pop-up box will open with all of the associated faces for this identity.
- Select the faces of the identity you would like to delete and click Delete Selected.
Deleting Identities
If you no longer wish to hold a profile for a driver, for example, the employee no longer works for your organization, you can delete their identity.
- At the bottom of the Facial Recognition section in Settings, click Edit.
- Select the identities you want to delete and click Delete, then click ‘OK’ to confirm.
