What It Is
With employees behind the wheel, businesses need confidence that drivers are following the rules of the road and company expectations to avoid insurance hikes and reputational damage. Event Review provides the context needed to support effective driver coaching and accountability. By surfacing key events and placing review tools in the hands of fleet managers, Event Review helps determine which incidents reflect unsafe driving behavior, which should be used as coachable moments, and which can be dismissed as justified or false positives.
How It Works
Raven continuously monitors driving behavior and logs any detected events, such as harsh braking, distraction, or speeding, with both cabin- and road-facing imagery, event type, and location data. These events appear in the Event Review section of the web app, where users can review each incident in detail. To support coaching workflows, users can assign a status to each event: Reviewed, Dismissed, Coaching Required, Coaching Completed, Under Investigation, or False Positive. This makes it easy to track which events have been addressed and which need follow-up.
Event status changes from event review are reflected in Raven’s Safety Score feature, allowing fleet managers to assess overall and individual driver performance over time. Dismissing or marking events as false positives ensures only valid data contributes to the score.
Beyond updating their status, users can add comments, view preview images and GPS locations of events, access a shareable trip summary, explore the whole trip in Trip Review, including requesting associated video, and export all events as a CSV for analysis or record-keeping.
How To Use It
- From the web app, select Event Review under the History drop-down in the main menu.
- Select the desired Date Range, Vehicles, Drivers (if facial recognition is enabled), Event Types, and Event Statuses (e.g., Reviewed, Coaching Required, Dismissed), then click Apply.
- A list of matching events will be displayed, each with details and associated road- and cabin-facing images or video (for critical events).
