What it is
Raven Connected customers vary significantly by industry. What makes the solution compatible, whether you operate a construction company or an executive transport business, is the ability to customize the solution to your needs and adjust on the fly as those needs change. Raven’s settings allow customers to enable or disable several features at the click of a button.
How it works
From the web app, Raven customers can adjust several settings, from disabling audio or video to changing the threshold at which they receive speeding alerts. Once implemented, settings are immediately applied to each Raven on the web app.
How to use it
From the web app, select the 'Settings' tab, then click to expand the section of interest. Available settings include:
Audio
You can choose to enable/disable all audio recordings on Raven. No audio is recorded when disabled and will be unavailable through remote requests or directly on the Raven memory card. You can also enable/disable streaming audio with live and historical streaming videos if desired.
Cameras
You can enable/disable either or both cameras to meet privacy requirements. Additionally, Raven allows you to decide between the quality and duration of recording.
- Extended: Users can select longer recordings with some compromise to video quality.
- HD: Users can select HD recordings with some compromise to recording length.
- Balanced: A balance between quality and duration.
A table depicting the quality and duration for each option is available with this setting.
Daily Summary Reports
Enabling Daily Summary Reports will deliver an overview of your drivers, vehicles, and pertinent information from the previous day each morning to all added recipients.
Driver Alerts
Raven produces audible alerts in the cab to notify drivers of events, like when they’ve exceeded the speed limit. Audible alerts can be enabled or disabled as per your preference.
Events
You can selectively enable/disable certain events Raven triggers from the 'Events' section and adjust their sensitivity. Adjusting alerts from the web app will also apply changes to the mobile app.
Speeding: Whether events are enabled and at what speed the threshold triggers.
Camera Obscured, Cellphone Detection, Distraction Detection, Drinking Detection, Eating Detection, Smoking Detection, Fatigue Detection: Whether events are enabled.
Aggressive Acceleration, Tailgating Detection, Car Bumped, Harsh Braking, Harsh Cornering, and Potential Impact: Whether events are enabled and at what sensitivity they trigger.
Gestures
A ‘Gesture’ is defined by a hand moving toward the proximity sensor of the Raven device until the user hears a beep, and a countdown begins in the bottom corner of the Raven screen. Gesture videos capture 30 seconds before and 30 seconds after the action. Gesture-triggered videos can selectively be enabled to allow drivers to flag video clips of importance. If drivers have access to the Mobile App, they can enable the download of these videos directly to their mobile device as they drive.
Integrations
Raven Connected partners and integrations help our customers go beyond our video telematics system to create a unique solution to meet their needs; the currently available integrations can be found here. As these integrations become available, more will be configurable directly from the web app. The process to enable exposed integrations can be found in the spotlight.
