What it is
AI-Enabled Alerts are machine learning features on Raven built to identify potential risks while driving. Raven monitors the driver and both camera views, looking continuously for changes while the vehicle is being driven. Distraction, Fatigue, Smoking, Eating, Drinking, Cellphone Detection, and Camera Obstruction alerts are currently available on the cabin-facing model, with tailgating as the first road-facing detection available.
How it works
The Raven camera’s monitor tracks changes, tracking the driver’s motion and scenery changes frame by frame. At the same time, the internal processors concurrently detect real-time events so long as they have been enabled in the Web App. After five instances of detection occur within five seconds, a small toast widget appears on the right side of Raven’s screen and beeps, alerting the driver. Simultaneously, an alert is captured via the Raven Cloud, notifying users of the Raven Apps. The vehicle must be in motion, travelling 6 mph (10km/h), to receive an alert, with the following exceptions:
- Smoking will be detected as long as the vehicle is on.
- Tailgating, which is by default set to 50 mph, but is configurable.
How to use it
By default, AI-enabled alerts are disabled.
To enable the feature and start capturing instances:
- From the web app , click on the 'Settings' tab.
- Scroll down to the Events drop-down and click to expand.
- Toggle on to enable the Events of your choosing.
- Drivers will begin receiving warnings, and Events will populate in the Events Stack, along with the trip timelines, and in Event Review .
