What it is
Raven Connected provides real-time visibility into the status of your vehicles and Ravens. It helps you stay informed and take immediate action when issues arise. With proactive alerts and detailed status updates, you can quickly identify and resolve problems before they escalate.
How it works
When Raven detects a change in status, an icon appears next to the vehicle’s name in the Vehicles panel or within the vehicle's dialog box. Some icons indicate non-critical information such as speed, fuel level, or parked status. Others signal more serious concerns like SD card errors, loss of connectivity, or vehicle DTC codes.

How to use it
You can view real-time status updates in several areas of the web app dashboard:
Map View
Click a vehicle's name on the map to open a dialog box. This will show you the current driving status, speed, fuel level, and any active DTC codes.
Vehicles Panel
This panel displays the current status of each vehicle and its Raven. Icons will highlight any issues. Select a vehicle to open its Details panel and view more information.
Details Panel
This section provides a detailed view of the most recent trip, along with the vehicle and Raven status.
Additional Information
SD Card Status Icons
While the SD card icon indicates an issue, additional information can be gathered through a tool-tip in the ‘Vehicles’ panel when you hover over the status icon. More details are also available in the Details panel.
The following are the potential SD card issues identified through the tool-tip:
- SD card missing
- SD card needs formatting
- SD card not large enough
- SD card is full
Diagnostic Trouble Codes
Diagnostic Trouble Codes or DTCs are used to diagnose vehicle issues. When Raven is connected to the vehicle’s OBD port, it automatically detects and interprets any active codes. If a problem is found, an alert will appear in the dialog box. Click the alert to view the code along with a detailed explanation of possible causes. You can also view all detected codes across your fleet in the Vehicle DTC Report.
Event Alerts
In addition to the status icons, when Raven detects events like being unplugged or a vehicle idling, an event will be added to the list in the Details panel with road and cabin camera images, so you can confirm what occurred.
